Claire Fedoruk is a Berggruen Research Fellow based at Google X Development headquarters in Mountain View, California, where she will collaborate with their team to trace the emergent possibilities of being human produced by their work in robotics and machine learning. This project is an outgrowth of her Master’s research at McGill University, which focused on the practical and conceptual consequences of adopting cephalopods as neuroscientific models that exceed anthropocentric notions of intelligence. In addition to her anthropology background, Fedoruk has spent several years working as a Research Assistant and Coordinator in the health sciences, working to develop, evaluate, and disseminate psychosocial and rehabilitation programs for individuals with rare diseases.
