Peter Sloterdijk is a prominent contemporary philosopher, social theorist, and cultural theorist of design. His research and scholarship have explored various aspects of human existence, including the nature of technology, globalization, posthumanism, and the relationship between individuals and society. Sloterdijk was born in 1947 in Karlsruhe, Germany. He studied philosophy and German philology at the University of Munich and in 1975 received his doctorate in philosophy and literature from the University of Hamburg.
