In Year 1, we invited twelve writers to explore Le Guin’s hypothesis that “Collective Intelligence” extends far beyond the human mind. We researched how intelligence scales across time, space, and species, from the microbial, to the oceanic, to the computational, to the planetary. After immersing ourselves in Los Angeles science fiction cinemascape, we decamped to Topanga Canyon to write. We continue to collect writers’ stories, screenplays, and other creative works for publication and production.
